3 phase 4 hp vertical centrifugal pump is the single-stage pump. It has 16.3m3/h maximum flow, 30m minimum head, 33m maximum head, and 0°, 90°,180° installation angle of outlet.

Features:

  • The centrifugal pump has a vertical structure, and its inlet and outlet have the same diameter. The inlet and outlet are on the same centerline so that they can be installed in the pipeline like a valve. If a protective cover is added, it can be used in the open air.

Tips: What is the HPSH of the centrifugal pump?

At a certain temperature, when the pressure is reduced below the vaporized pressure of the temperature, the liquid will generate bubbles. Such a bubble generating condition is called cavitation. The bubbles generated in cavitation have the size minimized gradually and then finally break when they flow to the high-pressure site. This phenomenon in which the bubble disappears in the liquid due to the pressure rise is called cavitation collapse. In the operation process of the pump, if the absolute pressure of the pumped liquid is lowered to the liquid vaporization pressure at the current temperature in some areas of the overflow part due to certain factors, the liquid starts to vaporize there, generating a large amount of vapor and forming bubbles. When the liquid containing a large number of bubbles forwards and passes through the high-pressure zone, the high-pressure liquid around the bubble sharply shrinks the bubbles and breaks them. At the same time that the bubble condenses and ruptures, the liquid particles fill the cavity at a high speed. At this moment, a strong impact is generated, and the metal surface is struck at a high impact frequency. The impact force can reach several hundred to several thousand barometric pressures, and the impact frequency can reach tens of thousands of times per second. As a result, the wall thickness will be broken down if it is serious. The process of creating bubbles in the pump and bubble breakage causing damage to the overflow part is the cavitation process in the pump. In addition to the destructive effect on the overcurrent components, noise and vibration will be generated as well, and the performance of the pump will be reduced accordingly. In severe cases, the liquid in the pump will be interrupted and the pump can no longer work normally.

NPSH (net positive suction head): To prevent cavitation, the sum of the static head and the dynamic head at the inlet of the centrifugal pump must be greater than the minimum allowable value of the saturated vapor head at the delivery temperature.
