Tips: What is a Hall effect speed sensor?
A Hall effect speed sensor is a type of sensor that utilizes the Hall effect phenomenon to measure the speed or rotational velocity of a moving object. The Hall effect refers to the creation of an electric potential difference, or voltage, across a conductor when it is subjected to a perpendicular magnetic field and an electric current flows through it. In the case of a Hall effect speed sensor, the moving object is typically equipped with a magnet, and as the object moves, it generates a changing magnetic field that is detected by the Hall effect sensor. The sensor then produces an electrical signal proportional to the speed of the object.
