Tips: How to use a feeler gauge?

Wipe the measuring surface of the feeler gauge with a clean cloth, and do not measure when the feeler gauge is stained with oil or metal shavings, otherwise, the accuracy of the measurement result will be affected.
Insert the feeler gauge into the measured gap, pull the feeler gauge back and forth, and feel a little resistance, indicating that the gap value is close to the value marked on the feeler gauge; if the resistance is too large or too small when pulling, it means the gap The value is less than or greater than the value marked on the feeler gauge.
When measuring and adjusting the gap, first select a feeler gauge that meets the gap regulations and insert it into the gap to be measured, then adjust and pull the feeler gauge until you feel a little resistance and tighten the lock nut. The marked value is the measured gap value.
