Tips: Overheat protection of solid state relays

When the SSR is on, devices will withstand the dissipated power of P = V (tube voltage drop) × I (load), where effective values of V and I are the ones of saturation voltage drop and operating current, respectively. The load capacity of solid state relays is greatly affected by the ambient temperature and its own temperature rise. It is necessary to strictly refer to the allowable temperature rise (75 ℃) of the case when the rated working current is used according to the actual working environment conditions, to reasonably select the size of radiators or reduce the current usage. In the process of installation and use, good heat emission conditions should be ensured and otherwise, overheat will lead to incontrollable situation, or even cause damage to the product.
In general, for the product with rated operating current less than 10A, the instrument baseplate with good heat emission conditions can be used. For more than 10A, radiators should be equipped with. For 30A or less, natural air-cooling is used, while for products with continuous load current greater than 30A, the fan in the instrument should be used for forced air cooling. For more than 100A, a radiator and a fan for forced cooling should be equipped with. In the installation, pay attention to good contact between the bottom of the relay and the radiator, and consider the amount of thermal grease coated appropriate to achieve the best cooling effect. If the relay works under high temperature (40 ℃ ~ 80 ℃) in a long term, the user can consider derating to ensure normal operation according to data of maximum output current and ambient temperature curve.

Builder in Product TAB

NEW! Since Journal 3.2, the much improved T.A.B (Tabs Accordion Blocks) system supports the page builder inside the tab content. Unlimited Blocks, Tabs or Accordions with any HTML content or the builder interface (supporting custom rows/columns/modules) can be assigned to any individual product or to certain groups of products, like entire categories, brands, products with specific options, attributes, price range, etc. You can indicate any criteria via the advanced product assignment mechanism and only those products matching your criteria will display the modules. Also, any module can be selectively activated per device (desktop/tablet/phone), customer login status and other criteria. Imagine the possibilities.
