Tips: The Working Principle of Inductive Proximity Sensor.

The circular hole part of the ring type proximity sensor, that is the oscillator that detects the position, generates an alternating magnetic field. When the metal approaches, an eddy current is generated, the oscillation changes, and then a type of sensor that outputs a switch signal after being processed by the circuit. Ring proximity switches can be divided into two working principles, static and dynamic.

As long as the metal is within the scope of monitoring sensors can produce a continuous output signal. Thus, the sensor can be used to monitor the feeding process of falling screws or blocking state.
