Tips: What fators affect the reliability of relays?

  1. Environment
    Average fault interval of relays varies in different working environment.
  2. Quality grade
    Quality grade has great influence on reliability of relays.
  3. Contact forms
    SPST relays appear more reliable than SPDT relays with same number of poles. Their reliability reduces with increase of poles. Average fault interval of SPST relays is 5.5 times more than that of 4PDT (four-pole double-throw) relays.
  4. Structure
    Different structures of relays have great influence on their reliability.
  5. Temperature
    Relays work in a temperature of -25~70℃. Average fault interval of relays reduces with rise of temperature.
