Tips: 5 lubrication methods for worm gearbox

According to the various structures and characteristics of the worm gearbox, there are mainly the following five lubrication methods:

  • Pressure lubrication. An oil pump needs to be added to the engine, and the pressure of the oil pump is used to supply the oil to each lubrication point. Pressure lubrication belongs to compulsory lubrication, and compulsory lubrication relies on the oil pump to deliver the lubricating oil to the friction part under a certain pressure.
  • Splash lubrication. The lubricating oil is thrown up by the lubricating rod mounted on the connecting rod and then splashed to the parts that need lubrication. Therefore, the cylinder and the motion mechanism need to use the same lubricating oil. This lubrication method is mostly used in small worm gearbox reducers without crossheads.
  • Spray lubrication. The sprayed oil mist enters the lubrication location such as the cylinder with the gas. The sliding vane gear reducer and the screw gear reducer are used for this kind of lubrication.
  • Dripping oil lubrication is to use the oil cup and oil pipeline to deliver the lubricating oil to the parts that should be refueled, or to fill the lubricating oil with an oil can on time.
  • Oil ring lubrication. A rotating shaft is used to drive a movable oil ring sleeved on the shaft, and the oil ring brings the oil in the oil pool to the bearing for circulating lubrication.

Builder in Product TAB

NEW! Since Journal 3.2, the much improved T.A.B (Tabs Accordion Blocks) system supports the page builder inside the tab content. Unlimited Blocks, Tabs or Accordions with any HTML content or the builder interface (supporting custom rows/columns/modules) can be assigned to any individual product or to certain groups of products, like entire categories, brands, products with specific options, attributes, price range, etc. You can indicate any criteria via the advanced product assignment mechanism and only those products matching your criteria will display the modules. Also, any module can be selectively activated per device (desktop/tablet/phone), customer login status and other criteria. Imagine the possibilities.
