Tips: Application of stepper motor in packaging film feeding

As for packaging machine integrating bag making, filling and sealing, it is required to feed the plastic film according to the fixed position and length, no matter intermediate or continuous feed, which can be completed by using stepper motor.

Intermediate packing machine
The stepper motor is used to feed film in the intermediate packing machine, making the reliability enhance. The packaging film was fed with crank-link mechanism and intermediate drawstring before, featured with complicated structure and difficulty in adjustment. Especially, when it’s necessary to replace the product, it is difficult to make adjustment and the packing film is wasted a lot. The stepper motor and drawstring idler wheel are used to connect the tape directly, thus the structure is simplified and it is convenient to make adjustment, which can be realized by only pressing the button on the control panel. In this way, the time and packing material is saved.
Continuous packing machine
As for continuous packing machine, the stepper motor rotates continuously. The packing film is conveyed evenly and continuously. When the bag length is changed, it only can be realized by pressing the switch.
