5 tips for selecting an industrial PC

Industrial PCs usually need to be installed in racks or other narrow spaces, so first select the product specifications according to the size of field installations.
According to the feasible installation method on site, it can be divided into wall-mounted type, rack type, desktop and embedded. Meanwhile, it should also consider the outlet mode to avoid the difficulty of wiring, such as the front line and the back line.
Environmental requirements. The industrial PC is different from the ordinary civil computer because it can be used in harsh environments, such as ultra-high or ultra-low temperature, high dust, high vibration etc.. Therefore, you should carefully check whether its parameters can meet the requirements of your application environment when selecting an industrial PC.
Technical parameters. Like choosing a personal computer, you should also look at the configuration: The CPU, storage, memory, software, and so on. When selecting these parameters, choose according to the application requirements of industrial PC.
Scalability. It is necessary to consider which type of interface is required for the IPC, and whether there are RS-232/485, CPCI, USB, Profinet and other types of interfaces.
