Protection Functions & Applications


  • Reverse Polarity Protection: Auto protection when input positive and negative polarities are reversely connected – The fuse blown out.

  • Low Voltage Protection: Automatically protect when in low voltage – Alarm first, the voltage continuously reduces, the red light is on and the inverter shuts down.
  • Over Voltage Protection: Automatically protect when in high voltage – Red LED light is on, and the inverter automatically shuts down.
  • Over Temperature Protection: Automatically self-protect when at high temperature – Alarm first, the temperature continuously rises, the red light is on and the inverter shuts down.
  • Overload Protection: Automatic self-protection when there is overload – Red LED light is on and the inverter automatically shuts down.

Tips: Differences between pure sine wave inverter and modified sine wave inverter

The waveforms of the inverter are mainly divided into two categories, one is a sine wave inverter (ie, a pure sine wave inverter), and the other is a square wave inverter.

The sine wave inverter outputs sine wave AC power that is as good as the grid we use every day, because it does not have electromagnetic pollution in the grid. But the square wave inverter outputs a square wave alternating current with poor quality. And its positive maximum to negative maximum value generates almost at the same time, thus causing severe instability to the load and the inverter itself. At the same time, its load capacity is poor, only 40-60% of the rated load, and it cannot carry inductive loads. If the load is too large, the third harmonic component contained in the square-wave current will increase the capacitive current flowing into the load. In severe cases, the load filter capacitor will be damaged.

In view of the above shortcomings, a modified sine wave inverter emerged in recent years. The output waveform has a time interval from the maximum value in the positive direction to the negative value in the negative direction. The use effect is improved. But the waveform of the modified sine wave is still composed of broken lines, which still belongs to the square wave category. The continuity is not good, and there is a dead zone.

Modified sine wave inverters generally use non-isolated coupling circuits, while pure sine wave inverters adopt isolated coupling circuit designs. The price is also very different. Pure sine wave inverter is a little expensive than modified sine wave inverters.
