Tips: Passive filter versus active filter

Passive filter advantages are simple circuit, no need of DC power supply, and high reliability. It has its own disadvantages: signal inside pass band has energy consumption; load effect is obvious; it is easy to have electromagnetic induction when using electrical-induce element. When inductance(L) is large, filter dimension and weight is also large, not suitable in low frequency field.

Active filter advantages: signal inside pass band has no energy consumption, and also can be amplified; load effect is not obvious, and mutual effect is very small for multilevel linkage. Taking cascading method is easy to constitute high-stage filter, which is in small dimension, light weight, no need of magnetic shielding (due to no use of inductance element). It also has some disadvantages. Since it is limited by band width of active component in the range of pass band, it needs to be energized by DC power supply. Thus reliability is not as good as passive filter. It is not suitable in high-voltage, high-frequency, large-power occasions.

Builder in Product TAB

NEW! Since Journal 3.2, the much improved T.A.B (Tabs Accordion Blocks) system supports the page builder inside the tab content. Unlimited Blocks, Tabs or Accordions with any HTML content or the builder interface (supporting custom rows/columns/modules) can be assigned to any individual product or to certain groups of products, like entire categories, brands, products with specific options, attributes, price range, etc. You can indicate any criteria via the advanced product assignment mechanism and only those products matching your criteria will display the modules. Also, any module can be selectively activated per device (desktop/tablet/phone), customer login status and other criteria. Imagine the possibilities.
