Tips: 6 considerations for using ultrasonic level sensors

  1. There should be no obstacles under the sound wave. Since the ultrasonic level sensor uses the principle of sound wave reflection to achieve liquid level measurement, if there are obstacles, it will affect the ultrasonic emission, resulting in signal loss and affecting the measurement effect.
  2. Ultrasonic liquid level sensor measurement is prone to dead zone. This is because, during the transmission of ultrasonic pulses, due to the mechanical inertia occupying the transmission time, a small area near the ultrasonic transducer cannot receive sound waves, and the area that cannot be measured is called a dead zone. The size of the dead zone is related to the measurement distance of the ultrasonic wave. The smaller the measurement distance, the smaller the dead zone. The larger the measurement distance, the larger the dead zone.
  3. Ultrasonic tank level sensor measurement is easily affected by temperature. In actual measurements, changes in temperature cause changes in the speed of sound, which in turn lead to level measurement errors.
  4. It is not suitable to measure level in pressure vessels. Since the pressure mainly affects the level probe, and there is a certain relationship between the pressure and the temperature. The change of the pressure will affect the change of the temperature, and then the change of the speed of sound, which will affect the accuracy of the measurement.
  5. Dust is the most influential factor of ultrasonic level sensor measurement. The dust environment has very little influence on the speed of sound, but the attenuation of the sound wave is obvious, so it is best not to use it in this occasion.
  6. The ultrasonic level sensor cannot be used in the occasions where there is water mist, a medium that is easy to produce a large amount of foam, and a volatile medium. All these mediums are easy to absorb sound waves or interfere with sound wave emission, resulting in signal loss and reduced accuracy.

Builder in Product TAB

NEW! Since Journal 3.2, the much improved T.A.B (Tabs Accordion Blocks) system supports the page builder inside the tab content. Unlimited Blocks, Tabs or Accordions with any HTML content or the builder interface (supporting custom rows/columns/modules) can be assigned to any individual product or to certain groups of products, like entire categories, brands, products with specific options, attributes, price range, etc. You can indicate any criteria via the advanced product assignment mechanism and only those products matching your criteria will display the modules. Also, any module can be selectively activated per device (desktop/tablet/phone), customer login status and other criteria. Imagine the possibilities.
