Tips: How does a laser diameter gauge work?

A laser diameter gauge is a measuring instrument used to accurately measure the diameter of an object. Its working principle is based on a laser beam and photoelectric detection technology. The following are its main working steps:

  1. Laser emission: The laser in the laser diameter gauge emits a parallel laser beam. This beam is usually red or green, with high linearity and low divergence, ensuring the accuracy of the measurement.
  2. Object occlusion: The object to be measured is placed in the path of the laser beam, causing part of the laser beam to be blocked by the object. At this time, a shadow area of the beam will be formed on both sides of the object.
  3. Photoelectric detection: After the laser beam passes through the object to be measured, it reaches the photoelectric detector. The photoelectric detector converts the received light signal into an electrical signal. Due to the occlusion of the object, the light signal received by the photoelectric detector will change, forming two obvious edge signals.
  4. Signal processing: The signal processing unit in the instrument processes the electrical signal output by the photoelectric detector and determines the part of the object blocked by the object by identifying the edge position of the light signal. By measuring the distance between the two edges, the diameter of the object can be calculated.
  5. Data output: The calculated diameter value is output through the display screen or data interface for the user to read or further process.

Laser diameter gauges have the advantages of non-contact, high precision and fast response, and are widely used in industrial production, quality control and scientific research. For example, in the manufacturing industry, it can be used to detect whether the diameter of wires, cables, pipes, etc. meets the specifications. This measurement method avoids the errors and wear problems that may be caused by traditional contact measurement, and improves the accuracy and efficiency of measurement.

Builder in Product TAB

NEW! Since Journal 3.2, the much improved T.A.B (Tabs Accordion Blocks) system supports the page builder inside the tab content. Unlimited Blocks, Tabs or Accordions with any HTML content or the builder interface (supporting custom rows/columns/modules) can be assigned to any individual product or to certain groups of products, like entire categories, brands, products with specific options, attributes, price range, etc. You can indicate any criteria via the advanced product assignment mechanism and only those products matching your criteria will display the modules. Also, any module can be selectively activated per device (desktop/tablet/phone), customer login status and other criteria. Imagine the possibilities.
