Application

Tips: How to choose pulse per revolution (PPR)?

When choosing the encoder's PPR value, keep in mind a few simple rules. Make sure that the selected PPR value does not exceed the maximum frequency of the controller or encoder. Try to select PPR approached to the value displayed, thus eliminating or reducing the necessity for calibration constants. For example, if you want to display 12 inch per circle, select PPR 12. Select 1200 PPR if you want to display 12.00 inches. However, do not mistakenly forget the input multiplier of controller. Most controllers have X2 or X4 logic. If it is X2 logic, it will change to PPR 600 when displaying 12.00; when X4 logic becomes PPR 300. Remember when creating a PPR, be sure to remember the frequency. When selecting PPR, the maximum speed cannot exceed the frequency that the encoder can handle. The opposite situation is the same, please don't choose too low PPR, otherwise the controller can't identify the signal. Try to select a PPR that let the calibration constant is between 0.5 and 1.

Builder in Product TAB

NEW! Since Journal 3.2, the much improved T.A.B (Tabs Accordion Blocks) system supports the page builder inside the tab content. Unlimited Blocks, Tabs or Accordions with any HTML content or the builder interface (supporting custom rows/columns/modules) can be assigned to any individual product or to certain groups of products, like entire categories, brands, products with specific options, attributes, price range, etc. You can indicate any criteria via the advanced product assignment mechanism and only those products matching your criteria will display the modules. Also, any module can be selectively activated per device (desktop/tablet/phone), customer login status and other criteria. Imagine the possibilities.
