Applications
High voltage DC contactors are widely applied in electric vehicles (EVs), renewable energy systems (solar and wind), energy storage systems (ESS), DC charging stations, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and industrial equipment that requires safe and reliable DC switching.
Tips: What is the coil voltage of a DC contactor?
The coil voltage of a DC contactor is the rated DC voltage required to energize its electromagnetic coil and close or open the contacts. Common coil voltages include 12V DC, 24V DC, 48V DC, 60V DC, and sometimes up to 110V DC or 220V DC, depending on the application.
For example:
- 12V/24V DC coils are widely used in automotive, marine, and battery systems.
- 48V/60V DC coils are common in renewable energy and industrial battery setups.
- 110V/220V DC coils are used in specialized industrial equipment
The exact coil voltage must be chosen to match the control circuit supply; using the wrong voltage may result in the contactor failing to operate or being damaged.
