The soil moisture and temperature sensor measures soil temperature (-40 to 80°C), moisture (0 to 60% VWC), pH (3 to 10, ±0.3 accuracy), and nutrients (N-P-K, 0 to 2000 mg/kg, ±2% accuracy). It also tracks electrical conductivity (0 to 20000 µS/cm) and salinity (up to 10000 mg/L). This IP68-rated, corrosion-resistant sensor features a durable 304 stainless steel electrode for harsh environments.

Tips: Can the sensor’s readings be influenced by factors such as soil type, temperature, or salinity?

While the sensor is designed for versatility across a variety of soil types, certain extreme conditions may slightly influence its readings. Soil type can impact measurements, as different textures (e.g., sandy, clay, loamy) retain moisture and nutrients differently. The sensor, however, is calibrated to minimize discrepancies across typical agricultural soil types. Temperature fluctuations can also have a minor effect, but the sensor’s advanced design compensates for these to maintain accuracy within its operational range of -40 to 80°C. High salinity soils can sometimes interfere with moisture and nutrient readings; however, this sensor is engineered to handle high salinity levels with minimized impact, making it suitable even for saline-rich soils.
