- If current input is selected, short the shorting cap of the corresponding channel to the left and center pins.
- If voltage input is selected, short the corresponding number of shorting caps to the right side and the two center pins.
Applications
Tips: How to configure RS485 to 4-20mA/0-5V/0-10V output?
Configuring RS485 to analog signal outputs needs to be done through a software or hardware interface. Most devices receive commands to set the output type of the channel (e.g. 4-20mA, 0-5V or 0-10V) via the RS485 interface. The following steps are usually required:
- Use the configuration software supplied with the device or the supported Modbus protocol.
- Set the output type and corresponding range for each channel.
- Save the configuration and test the outputs.
- Note: Before configuring, make sure that you have wired the unit correctly and check that the power supply meets the requirements of the converter.
