Tips: How to calculate the external resistance value of the voltage sensor?

When the magnetic balance voltage sensor is applied, the measured voltage is converted into the rated input current for measurement, and an external resistance needs to be added. The calculation is as follows:

Example: Use a voltage sensor to measure 220V voltage.
Because: The rated input current of the voltage sensor I_i=10mA, the internal resistance of the primary side R_i=430Ω. Now to measure the voltage U_i=220V, the external resistance R needs to be calculated.
Solution: R=V/I_i-R_i=220V/10mA-430Ω=21.57kΩ
Considering the standardization of the resistance, choose the external resistance R=22kΩ.

From this point of view, when measuring voltages above 100 volts, the simple calculation method in engineering is R=U_i/I_i. However, if the accuracy error of the entire measurement system is considered, it should be calculated strictly according to the above method. The user does some simple calculations according to the usage, so that the voltage transducers are in the best working state.
