Tips: How to replace a new shallow well jet pump?

When replacing a shallow well jet pump, it is usually best to replace the old model with a new model of the same horsepower.   1. Disconnect power to existing pump or motor.
  2. Drain the pressure in the system and drain all the water in the system. Be sure to hold down the discharge tube as it may move around and cause serious injury or damage.
